Saga Prefectural Museum
It opened on the Sannomaru (=outermost outworks) site of Saga Castle in 1970.
Materials collected in a wide range of fields are displayed and presented in a permanent exhibition entitled the “History and Culture of Saga Prefecture.”
Surrounding the pavilion is the Tadao Koga Sculpture Forest, where visitors can enjoy viewing art in a rich natural setting.
There is also a teahouse, Seikeian, which can be used for tea ceremonies and tea ceremony training.
