Mt. Yamizo

Mt. Yamizo is a mountain located on the northern edge of Daigo town, and at 1,022 meters, is a mountain in Ibaraki Prefecture with the highest elevation. When you ascend to the observation deck, a panoramic view spreads in front of you. In the far distance, you can see Mt. Bandai, Nasu, the Nikko Mountain Range, and Tsukuba. If the weather is clear, you can see the sacred Mt. Fuji beyond the sea of clouds. On the summit, there is the Yamizomine Shrine, and halfway to the summit, there is Nichirin-ji temple, known as the Bando 21st Pilgrimage Temple. Since old times, this mountain has been known as a mountain of worship. There are mountain climbing courses that climb Mt. Yamizo, and there is also a course that traverses from the summit of Mt. Yamizo to Ikenotaira, Mt. Takasasa, and Mt. Daijingu.
