Azuma Jinja Shrine
Azuma Jinja Shrine is situated under Azumayama Park’s viewing deck, and it is dedicated to Oto Tachibana Hime, the wife of Yamato Takeru.
Their tale of profound love is called the “Azumayama Monogatari,” a story that is also depicted in the Kojiki (Records of Ancient Matters) and Nihonshoki (Chronicles of Japan). Nowadays the shrine is known as a site to pray to the god of marriage.
