Birthplace of Jirocho
The Birthplace of Jirocho is along a commercial street called Jirocho-dori.
It preserves and displays material and tools used by Jirocho, Omasa, and Komasa as they were at the time. Jirocho was born with the name Yamamoto Chogoro.
An adopted son of Yamamoto Jirohachi, he was called “Jirocho,” which was short for "Jirohachi’s son Chogoro."
The house has many souvenirs associated with Jirocho.
The "kachi-fuda" that is believed to make any wish come true is popular.
