天台宗上総五山の一つ
The temple enshrines the eleven faced Kanzeon as its principal image.
The transom in the hall is decorated with a sculpture of "Jigoku Gokuraku-zu".
The Bira-do, the temple gate with four pillars and a gabled roof, and the Mizuya House with an Elevated Floor are designated cultural properties of the town.
