Nihon-daira

Nihon-daira is a large hill with a maximum altitude of 307m.
This place is a nationally designated spot of scenic beauty with a view of Mt. Fuji, Miho-no-Matsubara, and Suruga Bay from the hilltop.
There are other places in Shizuoka city with breathtaking views of Mt. Fuji, but you can see plenty of nature of each of the four seasons in addition to that at Nihon-daira.
Red and white plum blossoms bloom in the plum garden in February, and cherry blossoms bloom along the path leading to the hilltop in spring.
It takes about five minutes on a ropeway from here to get to Kunozan.
There is plenty of scenery of this great hill to take in while riding the ropeway as well.
