This clear spring water gushes from around a dozen spots.
In 1985, the Ministry of Environment's Water Quality Conservation Bureau recognized it as one of Japan's 100 Remarkable Waters. The water temperature is a stable 11°C year-round, so it provides a cool retreat in summer and stays in liquid form in winter.
Additionally, the surrounding area is covered with ancient trees that are hundreds of years old.
*When visiting, search for "Shojinzawa Spring Parking Lot" on Google Maps.
*The path to the spring is about 1.5 km one way (approximately 30 minutes' walk).
