Explore Dinosaurs through Fossils and Hands-on Experiences

Hakusan Dinosaur Park Shiramine is an interactive museum located in the Shiramine district of Hakusan City, dedicated to the world of dinosaurs and fossils.
The Hakusan area is known as the site where dinosaur fossils were first discovered in Japan, and the museum’s exhibits on local strata and geology provide a fascinating gateway into prehistoric life.
Inside, visitors will find full-scale dinosaur skeletons, fossil replicas, and hands-on excavation experiences that appeal to all ages.
One of the highlights is the fossil excavation program (advance reservation required), where participants can search for real fossils and minerals buried in sand—an experience especially popular with children.
Outdoors, several life-sized dinosaur models are installed, making for memorable photo spots.
With its combination of education and fun, the park is a full-day attraction for families, especially those with children eager to explore the world of dinosaurs.
