Kitasho Tanada

Selected as one of the 100 best rice terraces in 1999, Kitasho Tanada is proud of the largest area of its kind in Japan and comprises 27,000 rice terraces.
Events such as the “Doronko Mud Festival” and the “Harvest Thanksgiving Festival” are held throughout the year.
Many amateur photographers come to take pictures of the rice terraces filled with water in May and of blooming red spider lilies in September.
