Shiofune Kannon-ji Temple is also called the "flower temple" and is especially famous as a spot for azaleas. It is characterized by its terrain that takes advantage of the natural topography, it is surrounded by hills, and about 17,000 azalea trees are planted there.
In the middle of April to the beginning of May, all of the vast slopes located on its semi-cone shaped land are filled with colorful azaleas, including red, pink and white, allowing you to enjoy a 360 degree panoramic view.
The "Azalea festival" is held every year in accordance with the time the flowers bloom.
Since the walking path runs through the azalea garden, you can enjoy walking while looking at the beautiful flowers close up.
