(3) Nachisan Seigantoji Temple

At the rear of the main hall is a splendid view of the three storied pagoda and Nachi waterfall.

t is said the Seigantoji temple was founded in the 4th century when Ragyo Shonin from India enshrined a statue of Kannon (the Goddess of Mercy) which he found in a waterfall.
In the process of Shinto Buddhist syncretism, the temple came to have a close relationship with Kumano Nachi Taisha.
At the rear of the main hall is a splendid view of the three storied pagoda and Nachi waterfall.
