Behind the first torii gate is the zuishin gate.
After passing through the zuishin gate, visitors will see a stairway leading up to the second torii gate, under which is a huge main shrine building that also serves as a hall of worship.
In the 2014 movie "Rurouni Kenshin," location filming took place on the grounds, and the shrine was used as the Kyoto shrine where the decisive battle takes place.
