Torii Gate Donated by Minamoto Yoritomo

Minamoto Yoritomo, the first shogun of the Kamakura shogunate, donated this stone torii gate in 1182 to mark the transfer of Benzaiten to Iwaya Caves in order to pray for victory over his enemy, Fujiwara Hidehira.
