Kintetsu Ikoma Cable Car

This was the first commercial cable car line to operate in Japan, inaugurated in 1918 (Taisho 7), and it is made up of two sections: the Hozanji Line linking Toriimae Station and Hozanji Station, and the Sanjo Line linking Hozanji Station and Ikoma-Sanjo Station.
It is popular with children because the cable cars that run on the Hozanji Line are designed to imitate a dog (Bull) and a cat (Mike), and those that run on the Sanjo Line, to imitate a cake (Sweet) and an organ (Do-Re-Mi).
There is also pleasant music playing in the cars.
