Himuro Camellia Garden

This garden belonged to Himuro Shoji, a former vice president of real estate developer Mitsui Fudosan, and his wife Hanako.
It was donated to Chigasaki and opened to the public in October 1992.
The garden covers 2,800 square meters and has 1,300 plants, including camellias, pine trees, and roses.
There are over 200 types of camellias, among them the beautiful “Himuro Setsugekka”, which has white or pale pink petals with a red pattern. The camellias bloom from mid-March to early April.
