Red Buckwheat Field (Akasoba no Sato)
White flowers normally bloom on buckwheat plants, but the buckwheat flowers are pink here.
This variety, called “Takane Ruby,” is a result of breeding jointly conducted between Takano Co., Ltd. and a Shinshu University professor who brought back a flower of a variety that grew in the Himalayas, 3,800 meters above sea level.
The flower field extends 4.2ha.
※ Blooming period: mid-September until early October
※ Banner-flags are raised during the blooming period.
