Depuis la station Taura (sur la ligne JR de Yokosuka), vous pouvez arriver à la première porte du sanctuaire en 20 minutes de marche.
En grimpant encore 15 minutes dans la montagne, vous trouverez un sanctuaire où s’aligne en tunnel plus de 50 portes rouges. On dit souvent que c’est l’entrée vers un autre monde.

I recently visited Yokosuka's Shirakure Inari Shrine, and it quickly became one of my most memorable experiences in Japan. I started at JR Taura Station and took a leisurely 20-minute walk, followed by a 15-minute climb up a quiet mountain path. The journey itself was a refreshing part of the adventure. When I arrived at the shrine, I was amazed to see more than 50 red torii gates lined up like a tunnel. The bright red against the natural surroundings created a peaceful and inspiring atmosphere. Every step along the trail reminded me of Japan's rich traditions and deep history. If you're traveling in Japan, I highly recommend taking a break to visit this shrine. It's a wonderful way to slow down, enjoy the scenery, and connect with the local culture.
