Navy Port Monument

Sarushima Island ("Sarushima") was managed by the navy in 1877, and the sea in Yokosuka was a naval port.
The Navy Port Monument indicates the range of ports managed by the Navy from Sarushima to Natsushima Island ("Natsushima").
It was rebuilt to a stone pillar in 1883 with an andesitic prism (initially wooden) having a side of about 30 cm.
It is broken into two and when it is connected together, it will be about 3m tall.
