Hasedera Temple

The temple has many attractions such as seasonal flowers and Buddhist statues, but a must-see is a view from the gazebo.
It offers a panoramic view of the city of Kamakura and the sea.
The eleven-faced Kannon Bodhisattva, the main image, is said to have been carved from the same camphor tree as the image at Hasedera Temple in Nara, and at over 9 meters tall, it is one of the tallest images in Japan.
The adjoining Kannon Museum displays valuable cultural assets, including a standing image of the eleven-faced Kannon that was once enshrined in front of the Daikannon.
It is especially popular during the hydrangea and fall foliage seasons and attracts many tourists.
