Mito Castle Otemon Gate

This two-story castle gate is the most prominent gate in Mito Castle.
The gate was restored in 2020 as part of the historical landscape improvements.
It is among the largest castle gates connected to an embankment in Japan.
The four corners of the gate have tiled walls of about 4.2 m attached, which is a style that is unusual.
