Autumn Stargazing Event — Shiawase no Mori Observatory (Registration Required)
Katsuragi City will host an Autumn Stargazing Event at Shiawase no Mori Park（しあわせの森公園）, located next to Michi-no-Eki Katsuragi（道の駅かつらぎ）.
Why not spend an evening under the shimmering autumn sky, observing the stars with a telescope?
※ Advance registration is required (first-come, first-served). Applications open on Wednesday, October 8, 2025.
※ In case of cloudy skies, the event will be replaced with an astronomy lecture and a resin keychain-making workshop.
※ In case of rain, the event will be postponed to Sunday, November 30, 2025.
Event Details
- Explore the wonders of Saturn through a telescope (weather permitting).
- Observe autumn constellations with expert commentary (weather permitting).
- Join a hands-on workshop to make your own original resin keychain (limited quantity).

Saturday, November 29, 2025
Divided into three sessions (approx. 2 hours each, including workshop + stargazing):
- 1st Session: 16:30
- 2nd Session: 17:20
- 3rd Session: 18:10

Participation
- Fee: Free of charge
- Capacity: Approx. 20 participants per session (first-come, first-served)
Notes
- Participants will walk from the meeting point to the observation site, which involves climbing about 180 steps. Please wear comfortable clothes and shoes. Since it may be chilly at night, warm clothing is recommended.
- The path to the observation site is dark. Please bring a flashlight or similar tool to light your way.

- In person: Submit the application form at the Commerce & Tourism Promotion Section, Katsuragi City Hall, Shinjo Office, 2nd floor

- Online/Smartphone: Submit via the Autumn Stargazing Application Form.
※ If applying for multiple people, only the representative needs to submit the form.
※ Children of junior high school age and younger must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Application Period: October 8 (Wed) – October 29 (Wed), 2025
(First-come, first-served. Registration closes once capacity is reached.)
※ The application form will not be available before the start date.
