Well, let’s go to Kyoto
This shrine was founded by Kumagai Naozane known for the Tale of the Heike.
This is the place where Honen Shonin first recited Buddhist prayer and founded the sect.
The maple road approaching the shrine forming a tunnel of autumn leaves is amazing and was introduced in JR Tokai’s “Well, let’s go to Kyoto” promotion.
Visitors can enjoy cherry blossoms in spring, and green maple leaves in early summer.
