Trial Cutting Stone

The Trial Cutting Stone is associated with a legend of Minamoto-no-yoritomo (1147-1199) who was the founder and the first shogun of the Kamakura shogunate of Japan.
According to the legend, Minamoto-no-yoritomo honed a splendid sword and tried slashing at a rock that was nearby.
The rock split into two.
Ever since, this rock has been called "Trial Cutting Stone."
