Lake Motosu

Lake Motosu is one of the assets constituting the World Cultural Heritage site, Mount Fuji.
The lake is the deepest lake among the Fuji Five Lakes, featuring its cobalt blue water that shines mysteriously.
The image of Mt. Fuji on the back of the 1,000-yen bill is designed from the photograph “Kohan-no-Haru (Spring in lakeside) taken by the late photographer Koyo Okada.
