ITSUO ART MUSEUM

Opened in 1957 under the pseudonym "Itsuo" of artist Ichizo Kobayashi (1873-1957), the museum houses a collection of over 5,500 pieces of fine art and crafts.
The collection includes ancient scrolls, calligraphy, painting, ceramics and lacquerware from Japan, China, Korea, the Orient, and the West, with a focus on works from the Fujimura, Kure, and Enshu schools of painting.
Each piece in the vast collection speaks to Itsuo's passion for and deep understanding of art.
The museum regularly holds special exhibitions and events based on these items.
