A Historic Site Where Families Can Learn and Play

Located in Oguchi Town, Oguchi Castle Ruins Park is built on the former site of Oguchi Castle, a stronghold during Japan’s Warring States period (late 15th to late 16th century).
The castle once served as the residence of Sakuma Nobumori, a senior retainer of the warlord Oda Nobunaga.

Today, the park offers visitors a chance to explore both history and nature.
A highlight is the Otemon Gate, modeled after a defensive gate in the second bailey of Nagoya Castle, one of Japan’s most iconic castles from the Edo period, located in Nagoya City.

The park also features a 17-meter-tall watchtower-style observatory, a fort-style playground inspired by Sengoku-era forts for children, wide lawns, and walking trails.
It's a welcoming place for families to relax and play outdoors.
Visitors can also discover a small exhibition area featuring excavated artifacts and models related to Oguchi Castle, offering insight into the area's historical past.

With its combination of cultural learning and leisure, Oguchi Castle Ruins Park is a perfect destination for history enthusiasts and families alike.
Free parking is available.
