Heiwa Chuo Park 平和中央公園

Heiwa Chuo Park

As of April 1, 2021, the "Chuo Park" will be reopened after its renovation as the "Heiwa Chuo Park".
A park made on the ruins of the training fortress of the former Japanese army, there are many monuments dedicated to culture and history installed here and it is also popular for cherry blossoms in the spring.
Located on top of a hill, you can get a panoramic view of central Yokosuka, Tokyo Bay, and even the Boso Peninsula on the opposite shore.
Another attraction here is the adjacent "Yokosuka City Museum" that exhibits materials relating to natural history and human culture on the Miura Peninsula.
