A Traditional Community Hot Spring with Mountain Views

Shiramine Onsen So-yu is a day-use hot spring facility located in the Shiramine district of Hakusan City, surrounded by the natural beauty of the Hakusan mountain foothills.
In the Hokuriku region, a “So-yu” refers to a traditional community bathhouse that serves as the cultural heart of local hot spring life.
It is cherished not only by locals but also by travelers as a popular spot to relax and enjoy natural hot spring waters.

The spring water is a sodium-chloride and bicarbonate type, known for easing neuralgia, muscle pain, sensitivity to cold, and fatigue.
Slightly brown in color, the water feels gentle on the skin and leaves the body pleasantly warm after bathing.

The facility features indoor baths and open-air rotenburo, where visitors can soak while gazing at the surrounding mountains and clear streams.
A sauna and rest area are also available, making it an ideal stop to refresh after hiking or driving.

As the heart of “Shiramine’s hot spring culture,” the facility also includes a shop and dining space offering local specialties and light meals.
It serves as a hub for exploring the Shiramine area, which also features attractions such as the Dinosaur Park and the thatched-roof village.
