The 74th Uraga Port Festival will take place on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at Nishi-Uraga Port Green Space and around Uraga Port in Yokosuka.

Festival stalls, ceremonial dance performances, and other activities will be held around the port. At the end of the festival, around 500 fireworks will be launched from the waters off Uraga, where Commodore Perry’s Black Ships once anchored.

The festival will run from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. The fireworks display is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. and last approximately 30 minutes.

A Summer Festival in the Historic Port Town of Uraga

Uraga is a historic port town associated with Commodore Perry’s arrival and Japan’s opening to the world.

The Uraga Port Festival is a long-running local summer festival held around the waterfront. Visitors can browse the festival stalls and watch ceremonial dance performances in the late afternoon before enjoying the evening fireworks.

The fireworks display is scheduled from 7:30 to 8:00 p.m.

Use Public Transportation to Reach the Venue

There is no parking at the venue.

The festival area is approximately a 15-minute walk from Uraga Station on the Keikyu Line.

Alternatively, take a Keikyu Bus bound for Keikyu Kurihama Station from Uraga Station. Get off at Konyacho Bus Stop, approximately five minutes from the station, and walk about two minutes to the venue.

Traffic restrictions are scheduled around the venue from 7:20 to 8:20 p.m. Visitors should use public transportation and allow extra time for travel.
