Otsu Photo Contest 2025: Share the Everyday Beauty of Yokosuka’s Otsu Area

The Otsu Tourist Association invites you to take part in the 2025 Otsu Photo Contest!

We’re looking for original photos that showcase the appeal of the Otsu area of Yokosuka City—including beautiful scenery, delicious local foods, historic places, and the people who live and thrive there.
Share your unique perspective, and you could win local prizes!

Entry Period

June 25 (Wed) – October 14 (Tue), 2025
Entries must arrive or be submitted by the deadline.

Eligible Area

Photos must be taken in the Otsu area of Yokosuka:
Ikeda, Otsu, Sakuragaoka, Negishi, Hashirimizu, Mabori Coast, and Mabori

Awards & Prizes

• Grand Prize (1 winner): ¥10,000 gift card
• Excellence Award (3 winners): Meal vouchers for Oishii Hiroba (local food court)
• Honorable Mention (5 winners): Lunch tickets for Kaneyo Shokudō
• Chairperson’s Award (1 winner): Meal voucher for chez tasaka
• Student Special Award (3 winners): Coffee tickets and a sweets gift set

How to Enter

You may submit up to 3 entries per person. Choose one of the following methods:

① Submit Printed Photos

Print your original photos at A4 size or larger, and either mail or bring them directly to:

Otsu Tourist Association (inside Otsu Administrative Center)
3-34-40 Otsu-cho, Yokosuka City, Kanagawa

② Submit Digital Data

Submit image data of at least 2516×3544 pixels (approx. 9 megapixels) via the form on the official site:

Results & Exhibition

Winning entries will be announced on the contest website and exhibited at the Otsu Administrative Center (around November 2025).

Notes & Conditions

• Only unpublished, original works are accepted.

• For each entry, please write the title, shooting location, your name, address, age, and a phone number or email address where you can be reached during the day.
If you are a student, please also include your school name and grade.
Entries missing this information will not be considered for the Student Special Award.

• Copyright and usage rights of awarded works belong to the organizer.

• If your work is selected, you must submit the digital data. If this is not possible, your award may be withdrawn.

• If you wish to have your work returned, please visit the Otsu Administrative Center after January 2026, or provide a self-addressed stamped envelope for return by mail.
Works will be kept until March 31, 2026, after which they will be discarded.

• Only one award will be granted per person.

• Photo editing is allowed, but please avoid using free materials or creating images that significantly differ from the actual scene.

• If submitting multiple entries and you wish to specify which one to be displayed (if selected), please indicate so. Otherwise, the organizers will make the selection.
