Hatsu-unkan Dojo (practice hall)

5th generation headmaster Yuguro Kondo (Isami Kondo's eldest son), who became a son-in-law after marrying Isami Kondo's daughter Tamako, opened this dojo across from Isami Kondo's household.
At its peak, it is said to have had 3,000 students in the Tama region. It was significantly renovated in 1932, and practice continued until the 1950s.
The name Hatsuunkan has the meaning of dispelling dark clouds, and is said to have been coined and written on the signboard by Tesshu Yamaoka.
