Town of Woodwork Traditional Industrial Art Building

The culture of Kanuma, which has been flourishing as a “town of woodwork,” can be learned at this facility.
Craftworks for display and sale are made using traditional techniques dating back to the Edo period.
It is possible to experience the fabrication of “Kanuma Kumiko,” traditional woodwork assembled by hands without using any nail or metallic parts.
It is also possible to see a float with sculptural decorations, which is designated as a cultural property of Kanuma City.
