Takinoue Shibazakura Park
Shibazakura (pink moss), which blooms from early May to early June all over Shibazakura Takinoue Park, started from a seedling of, "a box of mandarin oranges".
Since then, thanks to the efforts of the town and its residents, they reproduce every year, and have now formed a huge colony covering 100,000 square meters, boasting the largest scale in Japan.
