Nakatomi Washi-no-Sato
Blessed with abundant water in the Fuji-gawa River and nature in all four seasons, Minobu Town is known as a famous production area of elegant Nishijima Washi (Japanese traditional handmade paper).
“Nakatomi Washi-no Sato” consists of four facilities: “Sukiya Nakatomi” where visitors can experience the making of handmade washi, “Kamiya Nakatomi” where various types of washi collected from across the country are available, a restaurant “Ajisai-an,” where seasonal dishes can be enjoyed, and “Nakatomi Contemporary Arts and Crafts Museum” where visitors can be exposed to arts and crafts.
