Yomeirazu Kannonin Temple

Named “yomeirazu,” which literally means “to not need a wife,” devotional visits to this Kannon temple are believed to grant husbands lifelong health necessary to not be burdens to their wives.
Devotional visitors from all over Japan throng here especially during the big festival on the day of the autumn equinox.
The Kannon statue built in the temple’s premises is the symbol of this temple, and it is one of Japan’s largest Buddhist statues made of natural stone.
