Kurobe Dam
Kurobe Dam draws a beautiful arch in front of the peaks of the Tateyama Mountain Range in its background.
Its height is 186 meters, the tallest in Japan.
Every year from June 26th to October 15th, the dam attracts sightseers with its dynamic discharge of over 10t of water per second.
Kurobe Dam is located in Toyama prefecture but is most easily accessed from Omachi city, Nagano prefecture.
