Komaki city History Museum

This historical museum is located on the summit of Mount Komaki.
This location is where Oda Nobunaga built his first castle residence, which was later used as a stronghold during The Battle of Komaki and Nagakute, a series of battles between the forces of Hashiba Hideyoshi and the forces of Oda Nobukatsu and Tokugawa Ieyasu.
This historical museum was personally funded by Nagoya businessman Shigeru Hiramatsu and donated to Komaki city. It was made in the image of the Hiunkaku Pavilion in Kyoto.
The museum exhibits valuable materials showing local history and culture from primitive times through to the present.
On the top floor (4th floor) there is a observation room where you can enjoy views of the distant mountain peaks of the Suzuka Mountains and Mount Ontake, and the Nobi Plain.
