Tonomura Hachimangu Shrine

Tonomura Hachimangu Shrine is a "Chinjusha*" next to the Minami Minowa-mura public office and surrounded by one-hundred-year-old trees of cedar, cypress, and red pine.
Children's Sumo is dedicated to the shrine at the Autumn Festival.
* Chinjusha: in Japan, a "Chinjusha" is a Shinto shrine that enshrines a patron spirit that protects a given area, village, building, or a Buddhist temple.
