Tomamaecho Folk Museum

This museum houses an exhibit on the worst animal attack in the history of Japan, the Sankebetsu Brown Bear Incident of 1915, as well as exhibits showcasing the tools and housewares of workers in Tomamae's local agriculture and fishing industries in the early Showa era (circa 1926~).
There's also an archaeological museum that displays artifacts excavated from historic ruins in the area, as well as reconstructed houses from the Jomon and other periods.
