Folk Village
The Wada and Mitsuhashi Houses, both dating from the late Edo Period (1603-1868), were dismantled and reconstructed here so as to be preserved and presented to the public.
They are characteristic of the large houses of the period and there are records of how they were built.
They offer a rare glimpse into how people lived in the feudal era.
They are designated by the city as important cultural properties and buildings of landscape importance.
