Mt Kiso Komagatake

Mt. Kiso Komagatake is one of the 100 famous mountains in Japan, boasting the highest peak at an altitude of 2,956 meters among the mountains of the Central Alps, a quasi-national park.
Due to its close distance between the east-west feet of the mountains of the Central Alps, the distance between villages at the foot of the mountain and its summit is close, making it popular to climbers thanks to easily noticeable changes in flora and landscape of the mountain. Since 1967, when a ropeway was constructed, the mountain has attracted many tourists as a tourist site above clouds.
