Cape Ose

Cape Ose

Cape Ose is a sand spit extending about 1 km out into Suruga Bay.
On the sand spit grow groves of juniper, which have been designated as national monuments.
With a sight of Mount Fuji across the waters, Cape Ose has been a well-known scenic spot from a long time ago, attracting many visitors throughout the year.
It is also popular as a diving spot with crystal-clear water.
There is a freshwater pond at the tip of the cape, despite being so close to the sea.
This pond is considered one of the "Seven Wonders of Izu," and carp swim around in it.
