Tree-lined Avenue around Newtown
The leaves begin to turn red and gold from around late October along the tree-lined avenues around Newtown, creating a beautiful, autumnal atmosphere.

These places include Kaminone Odori (avenue), where you can enjoy beautiful gradations of colors on American sweetgum (Liquidambar styraciflua); the Nagayama Icho Dori (street) with ginkgo trees covered in beautiful, yellow foliage; and the Metasekoia Dori (street) lined with dawn redwood (Metasequoia glyptostroboides) that turn from gold to red brown.
