Kontaiji Mountain (Kontaiji Castle Ruins.)

The castle is located on the highest mountain in Tondabayashi City at 296.4m above sea level.
The castle was built by Masanari Kusunoki, who served Emperor Godaigo, in 1333 as one of the seven castles of Kusunoki to fight against the Kamakura Shogunate.
It is said that Kusunoki's famous strategy of dropping rocks and timbers was also used in this castle to torment the Shogunate forces.
From the top of the mountain, you can enjoy a wonderful 360-degree view of Mount Kongo and Katsuragi, as well as Harukas, Kansai International Airport and Awaji Island.
