Totoro's Forest

The Sayama Hills are said to have been one of the models of the settings of My Neighbor Totoro, a film by Hayao Miyazaki.
The Totoro no Mori (“Totoro's Forest”) areas are wildlife preserves scattered across the Sayama Hills.
“Totoro no Furusato Foundation,” established for the purpose of conserving nature and cultural assets, has collected and used donations from citizens and corporations to acquire and protect these forest areas.
Forest conservation work has been continued with the cooperation of volunteers.
At present, the Totoro no Mori areas count from No.1 to No.60. (As of September 8th, 2022)
