Nakaikemi-shicchi Wetland

More than 2,000 species of flora and fauna inhabit a small wetland approximately 25 hectares, close to the city.
In addition, the unique closed terrain called the “bud-shaped buried valley” creates a valuable underground peat layer for 100,000 years.
In 2012, it was registered as a Ramsar Site.
It is connected by a promenade from the Kanegasaki Ryokuchi area and is popular as a trekking course.
You can enjoy authentic Satoyama and nature experiences.
