Anpanman Museum, Kami City Yanase Takashi Memorial Hall

An art museum located in the hometown of Takashi Yanase, the creator of Anpanman.
It contains many of Yanase’s works that can be seen nowhere else, including canvas paintings that he made just for the museum and original drafts of picture book illustrations.
At the nearby Kami City Yanase Takashi Memorial Hall Poem and Märchen Gallery, you can see original drafts of covers and illustrations from “Shitomeruhen (Poem and Märchen)”, a magazine edited by Yanase himself.
The gallery also hosts special exhibitions several times a year.
