Ishibeshukuba-no-Sato
Ishibeshukuba-Sato is located on the grounds of Ameyama Cultural Sports Park.
The facility features the replicated townscape of Ishibe-juku in the late Edo period (1603-1868).
Each building of a farmer’s house, a merchant’s house, an inn, or a teahouse is reproduced with attention paid to their details. Even the architectural style with a narrow front and deep space inside commonly called “Unagi no nedoko (an eel’s nest)” has been faithfully recreated.
A wooden basin and furnace in the inn “Ishibeya” look real.
You may feel as if you have wandered into the Edo period.
