Yuyake Koyake Fureai no Sato

The town of Kamiongatamachi is known as the setting for the nursery rhyme Yuyake Koyake (The Sky Is Glowing with the Setting Sun) and there visitors can find a facility that allows them to experience recreational activities tied to agriculture and forestry.
The site is shared with exhibitons showing documents belonging to the creator of the nursery rhyme, Uko Nakamura, and to works by locally born photographer Shinzo Maeda, as well as by a restaurant, accommodation facilities (although day visits are also welcome) and a camping ground (day visits possible).
From the colorful flowers of spring, to playing in the clear streams or having barbecues in summer, watching the leaves change color in autumn, or the snow-topped scenery of winter, there is plenty to enjoy all year round.

*To prevent the spread of COVID-19, opening hours may change. For more details, please check the facility's website.
