Nakagawa Hachimitsu Kobo

Nakagawa Hachimitsu Kobo (honey shop) is the only facility of its kind in Japan, providing delicious and fun experiences to its visitors.
It was built by bee researcher Asakazu Tominaga, whose wish was to allow people to gain more familiarity with bees.
Visitors can compare the tastes of Japanese honey and Western honey or have a bite of a bee nest here.
The Japanese honey bee is a wild honey bee native to Japan. Unlike the Western honey bee, the Japanese honey bee is very difficult for humans to raise and keep.
However, its honey is the most nutritious in the world, making it a precious, highly nourishing commodity.
